Recommended Antivirus Exclusions for PIM+
In some cases, when a fairly aggressive virus scanner is present, it is useful to make exceptions for PIM+ in the virus scanner. This ensures monitoring can continue without slowing down or consuming excessive resources.
Folder Exclusions
We recommend excluding the root folder of PIM+ in your antivirus settings. For example:
D:\Program Files\PIMD:\PIM
In some cases, every time an event monitor in PIM+ starts running, the virus scanner scans the entire PIM+ folder. This can significantly slow down monitoring and use excessive resources, potentially leading to PIM+ server crashes due to resource depletion.
Process Exclusions
In some scenarios, a DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) system may also be present. To avoid interference, we recommend excluding the following processes in the virus scanner:
