The Telnet Event Monitor is designed to ensure that Telnet servers are operational and responsive to incoming requests.

Use Cases
- Monitoring Response: Ensures that Telnet servers respond correctly to incoming requests and can specifically check for predefined text within responses.
- Service Availability: Verifies that Telnet servers are active and capable of handling connections.
Monitoring Options
Alerts
- Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the Telnet server is unreachable: Triggers an alert if the Telnet server cannot be contacted.
- Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the server response includes the text [text string]: Notifies when a specific text string is present in the server's response.
- Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the server response does not include the text [text string]: Alerts if a specific text string is missing from the server's response.
Response Handling
- Include the response text in all notifications: Configures alerts to include the full response from the Telnet server for more context.
Connection Settings
- Connect on port number [#]: While the default port is 23, this can be adjusted to match the configuration of your specific Telnet server.
- Wait for a response for [#] seconds: Sets how long to wait for a response before timing out. Adjust this value based on network performance and server speed.
Authentication and Security
- This event monitor does not require authentication.
