Overview
The Linux/SSH APT Update Event Monitor checks for updates for your Linux devices and alerts you when one is available. It runs 'apt-get update' on systems that support 'Advanced Package Tool Get Update' (apt-get) and alerts if updates are available.

Monitoring Options
This event monitor provides the following options:
- Alert With [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if the SSH server is unreachable: Receive alerts if PIM+ could not contact the SSH server.
- Alert With [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if updates are available: Receive alerts when updates are available.
- Alert With [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if updates were installed: Receive alerts if updates have been installed since the last check.
- Alert With [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if installed updates need a system reboot: Receive an alert if newly installed updates require a system reboot.
- Automatically apply available updates: Check this box if you want updates to be automatically applied.
- Include the list of available updates in each notification: Receive a list of all available updates in the notifications generated by each event monitor run.
Authentication and Security
The account used for authentication must have interactive login rights via SSH. Additionally, the account must have permission to run the following command:
apt-get
